Yes, because it does work for my "black-2x,wav' file. Which has a size of 1222011. And 2 wavfile loads the data:

Z=. 2 wavfile '/home/jph/Desktop/Aomago/black-2x.wav'

$Z

1222011

So there is something related to file size.
