Ed, I just checked against my J902 install (I don’t have a later install right
now) and see correct result:

   JVERSION
Engine: j902/j64avx2/darwin
Beta-l: commercial/2020-11-05T14:07:25
Library: 9.02.08
Qt IDE: 1.8.7/5.12.7(5.12.7)
Platform: Darwin 64
Installer: J902 install
InstallPath: /users/rob/j902
Contact: www.jsoftware.com

   result =: 'a0b0o1d2e0'
   result -. '0'
abo1d2e
  -.&'0' result
abo1d2e
   result -. '012'
abode
   -.&'012' result
abode

Perhaps an issue in J901 and/or iPad version … are you able to upgrade to J902+
confirm ? …/Rob
