Hmm... Probably a big issue here is getting people to stick their toes in the water. And, you've got several specializations cooking here (financial beginners, actuarial beginners and j beginners (along with partial overlaps between the groups)). I expect that once the playground lets people link to it with an example including library links ready to go that this will be a bit easier to work with. Still, even now, it's probably worth thinking about carving out examples which are "pretty" for a particular flock of beginners and which lead to content which approximately fits their learning curve (reference material for "hopefully familiar" content, and tutorial material for "likely new (or, ok: rusty) content"). I don't know how ambitious you want to be there, but this looks like a good start.
