I'm entirely fine with including the NN example in the Playground menu. That's pretty much what I wrote it for, and I'm happy to contribute something useful.
I have to say that much of the code clarity (at least much of the structure and concept) also comes from having started from the book http://neuralnetworksanddeeplearning.com/ by Michael Nielsen. As a second thought, I don't know whether downloading a dataset from a random github is bitrot-proof enough for the playground. Perhaps it would be better to generate data in the demo itself...
