You can create your own ijx window from the the jijs class. This assumes you
have loaded all (or most) of the standard profile, but requested it to not
create an ijx window. Or you could tweak profile to create the jijx window
and make it invisible and then have a way of showing and hiding it. There
are infinite possibilities, but they require digging in and modifying the
behavior of the standard profile. You might also consider having your
logging/debugging write to a file rather than to the screen. Not sure how
noisy display fits with a locked script. Keep clarifying your requirements
as you pursue the various ideas people have presented.

I can see wdstatus writes a string to the status window. So, one thing I
could do is read a script in as a file and execute it sentence by sentence
formatting the result as a string and put it in the status window.
But my problem is different. Consider the script I want to run is encrypted.
It is a blackbox. But with various (1!:2) calls at certain points the
sentence. I want to see the output of those on the screen in a window that I
created, not using the standard J session. Additionally I want to see the
output of each sentence in the script as if I did a noisy 0!:0.
