[Jprogramming] Sum of empty vector

Surely the simplest answer for the sum (and product, plus others) of a 
vector is that adding an empty vector to the end of a vector should
not change the result.

The problem of non-commutative verbs is unavoidably not fixed, so do the 
best practical. Left or right identity?
