If you _are_ running Windows it looks as if you need to download from the Wiki page http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Packages/FFTW?highlight=%28fftw%29 saving to .../addons/fftw for the fftw lab to work. It fails if you change the directory to an unexpected name, eg addons/fftwnew
There was some correspondence in March 06 headed "Re: [Jprogramming] LAPACK question: principal eigenvector" and "[Jprogramming] LAPACK resources" about using LAPACK routines, and how to compile them when necessary, including under different OS such as linux. The Fast Fourier Transform lab has just worked ok for me, running a Windows OS. No doubt Eric or Chris will give you a more authoritative answer a bit later today/tomorrow. Mike Thomas Krauss wrote:
Hi all... Is there an FFT library for J available? I tried the FFTW package from the jwiki but it fails to run (and seems to be Windows only?) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
