For a specific verb like i."0 there are specific
techniques that can be used to avoid the boxing. 
For general verbs u I doubt that there is much
to be gained by avoiding the boxing, but if there
were it'd be easier to recognize ;@:(<@u) than some
other phrase and support it with special code.
