The same idea would work in Linux/Unix but would require
some tweaking for differently formated results from ifconfig

On the "Host page" of the dictionary, i.e.
j601/system/extras/help/dictionary/dx002.htm
it states that 2!:0 et.al. are "Not available for Windows or Macintosh."
I believe Macintosh, being a Unix based system, should be removed from
the exclusions.
