Thanks for pointing out this reference
It has slipped by my attention befor

I am glancing through it and I think there is a \ missing in this quote
"x G\ y apply G to sublists of length x in y (the lists are infixes);
negative x gives nonoverlapping
sublists. For example x avg y gives length x moving averages of
data in y (where avg=: +/ % #)."

should be

"x G\ y apply G to sublists of length x in y (the lists are infixes);
negative x gives nonoverlapping
sublists. For example x avg\ y gives length x moving averages of
data in y (where avg=: +/ % #)."

It is from
9 Data Amalgamation

October 2002
December 2004: Vocabulary updated to J504.

There are only a few places that need to change y. to of y
if it is to be updated to J6xx

I found helpful Section 18, 'Function Composition',
of Burke & Reiter "A Brief J Reference".
