That probably warrants some documentation about the expected data.
Apparently:
The right argument to wavmake is expected to be integers, in the range
0..255 or in the range _32768..32767 (the former domain is assumed
if the data is ambiguous).
The right argument must be rank 1 (mono) or rank 2 (stereo), if rank 2,
the leading dimension must also be 2, and 0{y is the left channel while
1{ y is the right channel.
(The result is a suitable right argument to SND_MEMORY&wavplay).
