I think it would also be handy to have some common tools for parsing
text datafiles on the Wiki.  Getting data into J from a file (as opposed
to from the clipboard or a spreadsheet [via something like tara]) seems
like it should be simple, but I think it may slow newcomers down, for
it's more complex (I think) than doing simple calculations once the data
is in a J noun.

Perhaps, as part of that, we could include some guidelines on
structuring data for ease of use with J.

Just some idle thoughts.
