Faced with the problem of reading in a CSV file, with all fields delineated
by double quotes, that is

"item1","item2","item3", ... ,"itemN"

(and the ... not to be taken as J :-)), if one wished to split on ",", and
prior to doing so wanted to clean up by dropping the leading and trailing "
for the entire file, is the use of {. and {: expensive? In some languages at
least one (usually the 'tail' operation) would be expensive.

I'd answer the question myself by doing timings, but I have not found out
how to profile in J, by time or otherwise. So if anyone is inclined to feed
this man by teaching him how to fish, that would actually be the best
answer. :-)
