I'm inexperience in .NET or ADO . But I think that there is no equivalent of
"ddfch" in that environment, that is, it is not possible to do column-wise
binding. Of course I'm happy to be proved wrong.
I guess the bottle-neck is in .NET and ADO itself. Did you test the time taken
to retrieve 49000 rows and copy-by-value them to another array?
