I like the wdstatus facility and use it whenever I have a long running
process especially during development.

I have not had a reason to use it for a long time now until recently I have
been using it frequently.

I am not sure if the behavior has changed but anyway it is sort of a bit
peculiar now.

If I do not close it from one run to the next it can be difficult to find
the window behind and between other windows.

It is also creating two windows but only one is being used so I can move one
but the test sent to it keeps on being sent to the otherone so it looks like
the text is being written onto the window behind the phantom window.

I like wdstatus for many reasons and in many cases it gives indications that
the process is alive and doing something even if smoutput seems to have gone
into limbo and does not write anything until the processes are finished.

This is particularly so when each element in a very long vector is being
processed and each verb called takes much resources and time to execute.
