Chris -

I did not know such a thing was possible. Do you have a link to something
that
explains the relation? I'd be interested in hearing more about your
experiment, too.

Has anyone else tried using a dripping tap to experimentally find the
Lorenz Attractor?
  I have used a simple J program to do so using a freeware storage scope;
"Audacity"
  My dripping tap is a tub (sandwich box sized) plus nozzle from a model
fuel tank with an aquarium gclamp acting on silicon tubing to regulate the
flow.
  My microphone is a Logitec webcam. This picks up the sound of the water
which flows on to a metal jam jar lid. It all seems to work but I have only
measured frequency doubling so far.
  Anyone interested? If so I will post details.
           Kind regards,
                                  Chris B
