This works fine.
On the terminal path is defined as follows:
kamac:~ kamakura$ echo $PATH
/sw/bin:/sw/sbin:/usr/local/lib:/usr/local/gcc4.0/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/
usr/X11R6/lib:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin
However, on the J system the PATH information seems to be cleared.
Only four directories are available without any specification.
2!:0'echo $PATH'
/bin:/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin
