It's been mentioned a lot lately already, but
look at general/pcall addon. It has a number of
examples of J/C integration with sources. Any addon 
that has a DLL in it can be used as an example: arc/zip,
xml/sax, general/sfl, media/image3, math/lbfgs,
media/ming, etc.

What part exactly is confusing you, how far have
you gone along already?
