When you say "I'm dubious that it belongs in the language.", I think I
agree.  

It really depends on what "belongs in the language" means.

Anyhow, we have packages that we can "load" or "require" that provide a
particular support.  As an example I am using "httpget.ijs".  I don't
consider it as being "in the J language".  In this manner, the package
"trie.ijs" which allows using the trie structure would not be "in the
language".

Am I missing something?
