J601 for XP64 requires the install of a 64 bit Java. This is not included in XP64 and you will have to download and install from the Sun website.

J602 for XP64 does not require 64 bit Java for the the J Front End and runs with a native Windows 64bit front end.

I suggest that you download and install J602 for XP64.

Subject: [Jprogramming] Installing J 601 64 on XP64

I'm trying to install J 601 64 on my XP64 system and get the following error message:

The item 'javaw.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly.

Nearest match based on size, date, and type: c:\program files (x86)\Java\jrel.6.0_03\bin\javaw.exe

Do you want to fix this shortcut to point to this target or do you just want to delete it?

I get an error message when say "fix it" ; anyone know what to do at this point? thanks
