Thanks, Brian and Ken, for the answer: "indirect (and multiple)
assignment"!
Since a construction with a single quote ('a b') does not exist in
either the Vocabulary or Ndx, I couldn't find it unless I knew what it
was called--that is, in a sense I knew the definition ('a b c'), but I
didn't know the indexed term to look under to find that definition--and
that's why I asked. I understand the eminent logic of finding it under
"Copula", but I have to confess that that is not the first place I
thought to look (I was focussed on the name/noun assigned to, not on the
process/verb of assigning)--but it makes sense now. Again, thanks!
