Remember that : is a conjunction and consequently has higher precedence than
verbs. Since , is a verb, what you've written above is essentially
equivalent to:
(3 :'myfunc ,'''),'1',''''
The part between parens is gets interpreted first, and it is an invalid verb
definition: it ends with a single, unmatched quote.
To get the result you want, you'd have to write:
3 :('myfunc ,''','1','''')
BTW, there's a shorter way to write this: myfunc@:,@:1:
