... that's ~User, not ~user, which is set in profile[x].ijs.

Edit > Configure sets convenience paths used in applications
like Project Manager and Find in Files.

Also ~Custom-style paths can be set in other applications,
such as ~CGI is set in JHP for path of executed request handler.
