It happens that the real part is zero, but the type of the numbers is still complex.

  (3!:0) -*:i.5
4
  (3!:0) *:j.i.5
16

What you want is plotting the real part of the result, you don't want to plot complex numbers. I think "plot" does not have to check whether some particular case of complex numbers are okay as an input.

Plotting [EMAIL PROTECTED] *:j.i.5 should work.
