Ric; This works fine for me on my Linux system ... it was on my client's Win system that the problem occurred and I will need to get over there and test at another time.
Question: Are there problems related to paths with blanks within the name ... ie. \john smith\Desktop ... Saving data files on his system went OK but maybe the bmp routine is balking!
