That's the nicest way to get blocks, but scattered indexing is also possible so
these will work too:
({1 2;2 4 3){i. 10 10
12 14 13
22 24 23
(1 2 ,&.>"0 1 ] 2 4 3) { i. 10 10
12 14 13
22 24 23
