If I do need a global noun name I usually put it into a locale and keep the name in ALL CAPS so it will stand out from the rest. I find it good to create them in a script either direct definition or if I need to read them in the do the reads in a script. It is easy to use ctrl+r on a line in a script
With verbs definitions or several lines ctrl+E works fine on a selection before you are ready to use ctrl+w Beying familiar with ctrl+shift+N and ctrl+shift+B is good to collect lines for comments and code segments that are under development and not ready for ctrl+w It works fine for several selected lines If you keep global nouns in a locales it is easy to keep them separate from anything else.
