That makes far more sense for the general case with resizability. What prompted my post was to indicate the 8 or 9 different graphical situations that had to be accounted for (and the fact that Ric's code had included what I assumed were Unicode characters without my tracking down documentation). Since this thread interests me greatly, do you have any suggestions about how one goes about drawing these things geometrically? (Obviously, stock market charting software must do it this way.)
