The installation for window is missing because it is hard to tell
exactly where is the window counterpart of $HOME/.vim , I'd tried to
give a simplified description but a seasoned vimmer warned me that the
false/mis-information would be spread so that I kept silent on the
window platform. Apart from that, the installation installation for
linux (and possibly mac osx) should be sufficient. Does syntax
coloring for other languages such as C work for you? Or could you
describe your version of os, vim and installation problem in more
detail?
