I was asking for a solution in J on the subject which is basically, 'Do you
need TCO for serious functional programming' ?
My limited understanding is that resursive invocation of function is 'the
loop equivalent(iteration with state info as the parameter)' for FP(assuming
that things are immutable so 'while state < 100000 do state = state - 1' is
not allowed). I know that for 95% of the time, I can practice FP style
programming without a generic loop as map/fold/filter can cover most cases.
It is the remaining 5%(or even less) that I am curious about.
