Oh yes, I keep forgetting that. Since the rank mechanism is implicit, it has no name to apply Fit to. However, this suggests another possibility. Perhaps the Rank conjunction " could be extended to accept Fit to override the default fill element for the mechasm that appends the outer frames (for example, >"0!.n). Key /. already sets a precedent for applying Fit to a verb returned by an operator. -- Mark D.
