That's really a nice solution; it took me a moment to see it because I
wasn't expecting it. One advantage is that I can set the element of the
left argument to 0 for tables I want to ignore; then I can add this to
another array I create similarly.
That's a bit confusing. The different tables of a have the desired data
in different columns, as I'm pulling this from different spreadsheets
done in different years, and the data structure changed at least once
over the years. So I can pull the first 5, say, from column 3 and add
that to the next 5 which have the data in column 4.
