Does the article "Determining investment yields" (Edward M. Kline) in v.11, no.2 (Dec 1980), p. 10-12, have anything useful in it for the present desired purpose? (I sometimes have a hard enough time trying to read someone else's J code, much less APL, so I don't know for sure if it has anything to offer to this discussion. It also was within Roger's remembered timeframe.) FWIW.
