As someone in the later beginning stages of learning J, I really appreciate your detailed explanations (along with those of Ric Sherlock and others). Keep them up! They contribute greatly toward understanding more of the "why" and "how" rather than just the "what" (as the DOJ does). In a certain sense, the Dictionary is sort of like a bouillon cube: it's all there, but it takes water (detailed explanations) to turn it into a tasty broth.
