Good idea.

Certainly this would make phrases like  {./  more useful.  The only downside I 
can see would be it would make certain trains
muddier; today I might write  (|.~ _  , someCalulation)  to rotate certain 
columns, the boxed form would have me write    (|.~ _
<@, someCalulation)  , which I could live with.
