We have a script that has hardcoded filepaths in it to data and other function files, and I want to make it such that the whole file system tree can be copied and run wherever. I will probably put it under version control, too, (http://git-scm.com) and have people in the group "git clone/pull" a local copy whenever they want their own version to fiddle with and run; with the hardcoded filepaths, it wouldn't run under such a system. Distributed version control is REALLY good thing.... (There is someone else on this list who might know some of the scripts I am referring to ... ;) ) Just food for thought; I think I have my specific syntax question answered. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
