"A word is any sequence of letters, numbers, and/or underscores"

Ahhh. In other words anything other than a letter, number or underscore 
delimits a word.

I was tempted to apply the following rule:

  A entry is not considered buggy if
  the spec can be reasonably interpreted to describe it (IOW, you
  are not penalized for ambiguous specifications.)

But don't think I can quite justify it (which doesn't mean the spec couldn't be 
made clearer!). ;-)
