I tested the source cannot compile under debian64 and I think it cannot compile clean under current gcc.
Another issue is it uses wd (what else?) in its examples, if the book itself also uses wd then there is in no way that it can run under j701. This makes me think that running image3 on J602 is best alternative for readers of the book.
