I am working with a file and editing it under J7 GTK When I copied the file in all the words came in on one word per line.
I wanted to change this removing the LF and replacing them with space. I put the cursor after a word and used copy and in the find window I pasted in and opened up replace and put a space in. After a long time it finished and I had one very long line. The file was over 20.000 lines long before the operation. I then did a similar operation with . and replacing that with . and LF Having this working like this is fine. What I do like to know if I can control better if/when I want to use LF/TAB/CR and other invisible char in find/replace? Working with copy/paste on invisible chars is not very easy. -- Björn Helgason, Verkfræðingur Fornustekkum II 781 Hornafirði, t-póst: [email protected] gsm: +3546985532 sími: +3544781286 http://groups.google.com/group/J-Programming Tæknikunnátta höndlar hið flókna, sköpunargáfa er meistari einfaldleikans góður kennari getur stigið á tær án þess að glansinn fari af skónum /|_ .-----------------------------------. ,' .\ / | Með léttri lund verður | ,--' _,' | Dagurinn í dag | / / | Enn betri en gærdagurinn | ( -. | `-----------------------------------' | ) | (\_ _/) (`-.
