No, not really what I was looking for. But certainly what I was looking *at*.

I seem to have the options:

(a) of tinkering with the code executed by the green J icon, viz.
   /Applications/j701/bin/jgtk.command ; exit;

(b) of tinkering with the code of /bin/jgtk.command

Either might suit my immediate needs, but not be a solution for general release.
