I've recently switched to J701. At the same time I switched to a Mac. Everything works great. I'm surprised how seamless the switch went. All the usual packages I use (LAPACK etc) work perfectly insofar as I can tell. I had avoided the switch to a Mac as I thought J+Mac was inferior to J+Windows. With J701 this seems not to be the case.
Have not been able to interface J701 with R on the Mac via Rserve. Having R alongside J allows access to all the R specialised algorithms while retaining the power, generality and flexibility of J. Is it possible to run Rserve+J701+Mac?
