You may remember or may have skipped a very long thread in which
mostly Bill Lam helped me install on a Mac PPC. As I remember the
trick was having previously installed Gimp with its Libraries. Then to
run Jgtk I had to quit Gimp and from the terminal enter `open-x11
~/j701/bin/jgtk.command`. Even with all of that I cannot seem to make
plot work as you can see next.

   sin=: 1&o.
   load'plot'
   plot sin i. 3 4
|value error: getgtkfontid
|   CaptionFont=:    getgtkfontid CaptionFontX
   callback run error: expose_event_3_
