I guess this bug affect also present in J6 and all platforms. On reflection, my suggested patch was wrong in that it should check the lowert bound instead of upper to guess overflow toward negative infinity.
It is quite trivial to build linux executables, and in fact it just work out of box. I imagine this also applies to darwin. Building for window is harder but I guess you do not need that.
