Here is an update. The huge viewmat is also about 7 pages wide, and as I move out to the right I see many more white large pixels that fill much more of the vertical space. I also notice in the status bar of my browser that there is a message that http://127.0.0.1:65001/jijx is loading with 7 of 8 completed.
