In my opinion, the right way of dealing with this issue would allow
the user to supply real numbers when generating a complex plot.
Obviously the complex coordinate would always be 0 for this case, but
I think that treating zero consistently would be a good thing.

That said, this is not how plot currently works.

And I wish I had remembered 11 o., but I use it so rarely...
