Hi Ric, It is a Wordle (http://www.wordle.net/) as Boyko points out. A good discussion of the algorithm to generate it can be found here http://static.mrfeinberg.com/bv_ch03.pdf.
Basically, I took all of posts on Jprogramming from 2007-present, stripped out the senders and edited them a little to remove duplicates and put them in camel case. The font size is proportional to the sqrt of number of posts. That is the only dimension of significance. The size of [Jprogramming] was hand adjusted to fit. There were over 400 individuals in the final set, I think I included the top 250 or 275 in the image on the wiki. Ken, That's a cool graphic on your wiki page ( http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/KenLettow ) What did you use to create it? Do any of the dimensions other than font-size (colour, orientation) have any significance? (This probably belongs in chat but since the graphic relates directly to this forum I figure posting here is semi-appropriate!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
