Subject: Re: [Jprogramming] Bug/Inconsistency among namelist verbs from z locale

However, explicitly specifying the locale to a verb ends up specifying the locale IMPLICITLY to the contents of that verb. One cannot make 4!:1 EXPLICITLY refer to a specific locale, and there is no 18!:n foreign to return all names in a specific locale. 4!:1 just returns names in the current context, which includes the current locale plus all local names. There is no way to explicitly exclude the local names. My version of nl_z_ kludges around this by obtaining (globals+y) and (globals+m+u+x), explicitly removing known locals to obtain (globals-y) and (globals-(m+u+x)), and then deriving (globals only) from the union. -- Mark D.
