Calling the dictionary misleading, on this issue, is itself
misleading, since the dictionary provides this information immediately
before the text which was quoted from the dictionary.

That said, perhaps if this rank information were hyperlinked to a
relevant page describing its own special symbols and conventions, it
would be more accessible?
