I have had another look at Ian's plot as I could not see how it generated a cube as reported by Brian.
The two components are of very different scale. pd 'new' pd (sin;cos,: ]) range 1 7.5 0.5 pd *: 0.1*i.160 pd 'show' On my machine they are both shown, but you have to look carefully. I am afraid I got caught by first impressions. Any others? Ian has made another important point in that the facilities for adding text to plots are not easy to use.
