Sorry, I should have clarified that the above are for toggling in a
given session -- the context being Raul's

The ability to temporarily toggle is handy in general, though; e.g.,
when pasting boxed arrays into an ascii document or chat window.
BoxForm is set to 0 here (unicode drawing characters) which I find
makes for more pleasant interactive output.
